Qué (quién) es wire bending pliers - definición

STRAIN CAUSED BY A BENDING MOMENT
Beam bending; Complex Bending; Unsymmetrical Bending
  • right
  • Bending of an {{ibeam}}-beam
  • Deformation of a thin plate highlighting the displacement, the mid-surface (red) and the normal to the mid-surface (blue)
  • Deformation of a Timoshenko beam. The normal rotates by an amount <math>\theta</math> which is not equal to <math>dw/dx</math>.
  • Deflection of a beam deflected symmetrically and principle of superposition
  • Bending moments in a beam
  • Element of a bent beam: the fibers form concentric arcs, the top fibers are compressed and bottom fibers stretched.

Pliers
  • Medieval pincers found in Hamburg-Harburg (15th/16th century)
  • Cutting wire with [[diagonal pliers]]/side cutters
TOOL WITH TWO LEGS, CAN FIX OR MODIFY A WORKPIECE
Plier; Plyers; Cable cutter; Cable stripper; Crimping pliers; Pliers (tool); Cable cutters
·noun ·pl A kind of small pinchers with long jaws, - used for bending or cutting metal rods or wire, for handling small objects such as the parts of a watch, ·etc.
Lineman's pliers
MULTIFUNCTION TOOL
Lineman's pliers (substitution); Combination pliers; Linesman's pliers
Lineman's pliers (US English), Kleins (genericized trademark, US usage), linesman pliers (Canadian English), side cutting linesman pliers and combination pliers (UK / US English) are a type of pliers used by linemen, electricians, and other tradesmen primarily for gripping, twisting, bending and cutting wire, cable and small metalwork components. They owe their effectiveness to their plier design, which multiplies force through leverage.
Diagonal pliers
  • Diagonal pliers with uninsulated handles.
CUTTING TOOL
Dyke (technical); Dikes (tool); Side cutter; Wire cutter; Wire cutters; Wirecutter; Wirecutters; Diagonal cutters; Diagonal cutter; Wire snips; Diagonal cutting pliers; Side cutters; Wire clipper
Diagonal pliers (also known as wire cutters, diagonal cutting pliers, diagonal cutters, side cutters, dikes or Nippy cutters) are pliers intended for the cutting of wire (they are generally not used to grab or turn anything). The plane defined by the cutting edges of the jaws intersects the joint rivet at an angle or "on a diagonal", hence the name.

Bending

In applied mechanics, bending (also known as flexure) characterizes the behavior of a slender structural element subjected to an external load applied perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis of the element.

The structural element is assumed to be such that at least one of its dimensions is a small fraction, typically 1/10 or less, of the other two. When the length is considerably longer than the width and the thickness, the element is called a beam. For example, a closet rod sagging under the weight of clothes on clothes hangers is an example of a beam experiencing bending. On the other hand, a shell is a structure of any geometric form where the length and the width are of the same order of magnitude but the thickness of the structure (known as the 'wall') is considerably smaller. A large diameter, but thin-walled, short tube supported at its ends and loaded laterally is an example of a shell experiencing bending.

In the absence of a qualifier, the term bending is ambiguous because bending can occur locally in all objects. Therefore, to make the usage of the term more precise, engineers refer to a specific object such as; the bending of rods, the bending of beams, the bending of plates, the bending of shells and so on.
